Adela Rita Cortese (born August 5, 1949, in Buenos Aires) is a renowned Argentine actress and singer. Her career spans across films, series, and telenovelas, earning her three Martín Fierro Awards as well as a Silver Condor Award. In 1967, she began studying Philosophy and Letters but dropped out a year later. In 1974, she entered the theater school directed by Néstor Raimondi, although, according to her own statements, she started her professional career in 1972 at the Teatro Latino in San Telmo. As a film actress, she worked in La nube, and in 2003, she received the Silver Condor Award for Best Actress for Herencia.
