Li Yutong (李雨桐), also known as Luyee, was born on July 14, 1988, in Shanghai, China. Her original name was Li Lingyi (李泠祎/李泠祺). She grew up in a musical family, as both of her parents graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, which gave her an early artistic environment. She first gained recognition as an online fashion model and later became an entrepreneur in the fashion industry, co-founding the brand UUJULY together with singer Xue Zhiqian, with whom she had a highly publicized relationship. In 2011, she participated in Hunan TV’s talent show Happy Girl, reaching the top 50 in the Shenyang division.
