Luke Islam shot to national attention in 2019 when he competed on Season 14 of NBC's hit televised talent show competition, "America's Got Talent." His rendition of "She Used to Be Mine" from the Broadway musical Waitress impressed judge Julianne Hough so much that she pressed the Golden Buzzer, sending him straight to the Quarterfinals as well as viral acclaim. Although he was eliminated from the semifinals of America's Got Talent, Luke was invited back the next month to compete again on Season 2 of their beloved spin-off "America's Got Talent: The Champions." The show premiered on NBC in January of 2020.
