

Laura Mora Ortega (Medellín, 1981) is a Colombian film director and screenwriter, recognized for her 2017 feature film Matar a Jesús, and for winning the Golden Shell at the 70th edition of the San Sebastian International Film Festival, with Los reyes del mundo. He was born in Medellín and studied high school at the German School in the same city. He studied film production and directing at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Matar a Jesús is Mora's debut feature film. It was released in 2017 in theaters in Colombia.
