John Willie Hopkins Movies, Biography & Filmography

John is comedy writer, director, editor and producer and owner of Big Face TV Ltd. He began working in media as an intern and then assistant to the director of production at Miramax films in 1997 where he was a script reader, writing treatments on script submissions and assisting on set. From there he went on to become Director's Assistant to Iain Softley (Backbeat, Hackers, Wings of the Dove and more) going on to gain experience in most areas of film and TV production. In 2001 he accidentally went on to co-win the BBC New Comedy Awards (with Sharon Horgan, Richard Glover and Dennis Kelly) with comedy shorts he co-wrote, directed and edited.
