Hawk Meisenbach was introduced early in life to the world of performing arts, beginning with violin, dance and acting when he was 3. He was in a choir for several years and took private voice lessons all through his middle school years. He decided he wanted to be an actor after he played the role of Conrad Birdie in the musical theatre production of "Bye Bye Birdie" when he was 12. He signed with an agent within about 6 months and became eligible to join SAG just a year and a half after he made the decision to become an actor.
