Hanan El-Taweel is an Egyptian transgender actress. She began her career in 1999 with a small role in the movie (Aboud Ala El Hedod), after which she participated in the play (Hakim Oyoun) with Alaa Wali Al-Din and Ahmed Helmy. After that, she presented small roles in some movies such as (Al-Nazer), (Ayez Haqqi) and (Askar fi Al-Maskar). She was severely attacked by her neighbors after she decided to undergo a sex change operation, to the extent that they filed a complaint against her to the police, which ended with her detention in the Abbasiya mental hospital.
